Course description

This full-day workshop will introduce the fundamentals of database agreements, identify basic eContent license characteristics and requirements, and define frequently used licensing terms and clauses.  Workshop participants will examine, review, discuss, and make changes to a sample license agreement through practical, easy to understand instruction.  Through in-person exercises, participants will work with each other to learn bargaining and negotiation techniques and put them to use while working through real eContent license agreements.  The workshop will cover the fundamentals of database licensing, identifying and overcoming problem clauses, and the basics of negotiations.
